The damage that wind can cause on vineyards

Strong wind can have an effect on the still herbaceous shoot: it tends to tear it from the fruiting head, due to its fragility.

In addition, in vineyards located near the sea, the high intensity of wind rich in marine aerosols, together with saline deposition, can cause total or partial lesioning and necrosis of inflorescences and shoots, as well as generalised desiccation of leaves.
